great compact mouseSep 06, 2010 love this mouse. the bluetooth eliminates having to put a usb stick in your laptop.
love the metallic blue color, looks nice with my new macbook pro.
just turn the mouse on and the laptop finds it in an instant, and you are ready to go
Great Mouse, Not for Windows 7Aug 30, 2010 This mouse works wonderfully on Linux, but if you're considering purchasing it for use with Windows 7 BEWARE -- the software does not run properly and there seems to be no way to install it.

Amazon's purposeAug 26, 2010 This is not a product review, this is a review of Amazon's practice of dragging their feet on "free shipping". In order to force customers to pay for shipping on items when they are "Super Saver" shipping, Amazon (or their affiliates) will not ship right away.
When the customer looks to see where their item is, because days have gone by with no email notification indicating the item has been shipped, the customer is given the option to change the 'shipping method', meaning to pay for faster shipping.
If you are going to give free shipping, Amazon, please just do it, don't play games to squeeze more money out of people.

Sucks batteries, and bluetooth is not ready for primetimeAug 24, 2010 There are two problems with this mouse: one with the mouse, and one with bluetooth in the Windows environment. Outside of these two problems its a great mouse but they are enough for me to abandon this mouse for a better product.
First, this mouse goes through batteries MUCH faster than any other mouse I have ever owned - unacceptably fast. And in an attempt to save money/the environment/whatever, I tried rechargeable batteries only to find they drained even faster than alkaline batteries. Its really really annoying to have to change the mouse batteries every week or so. Battery life: one star.
The second issue is only peripherally about this mouse - its a bluetooth mouse, so it relies (in my environment) on a Windows bluetooth stack. Between my wife and kids we have four Windows-based computers (three XP and one Win7). Bluetooth has been unreliable on all of them - and not just with mice. Problem #1 is that Windows forgets about the mouse and it has to be reconnected. Problem #2 is that the bluetooth stack sometimes doesn't come up at all. Problem #3 is that it comes up really late and the mouse is not working for a long time. I give the various Windows bluetooth stacks (including the Toshiba one used by many OEMs) ONE really black star. Because I have to keep reinstalling the mouse, I give ease of installation 2 stars - easy enough to install but I have to do it over and over and over again.
I had bought two of these models and one older Logitech BT mouse (which by the way did not consume batteries as fast as this one). I have been replacing them with Logitech V450 Nano Cordless Laser Mouse for PC and Mac which never seems to need a battery change, is completely reliable, and uses the very unobtrusive Nano USB dongle to connect. I give that product an unreserved 5 stars.

Very Frustrating to UseAug 22, 2010 I've been using the Logitech V470 Bluetooth Cordless Laser Mouse with my 2009 iMac for 8 months now. It works well, when it works. Every couple of days it drops the Bluetooth connection for no reason and just stops working. I have to reboot to get it to come back on. It's very frustrating.
It is pretty comfortable-a bit too small-but not too bad. I realize it's a notebook mouse and I'm using it with a desktop, but it's "tad" too narrow for my tastes. It scrolls easily and the scroll wheel is very responsive. It looks really nice (I have the blue one with black sides.)
One of the main selling features for me was the fact that it doesn't need a Bluetooth receiver, so I wouldn't have to take up a USB port. That's a nice feature, which is missing from many other Bluetooth mice, including some of Logitech's other mice.
The plastic film is beginning to peel off of the side where my thumb rests. But I guess after 8 months of daily use, what can you expect from a $40 mouse!
Overall it's a nice mouse. I just wish it would stop dropping the Bluetooth connection for no reason. I have other Bluetooth devices that don't exhibit this "feature."
