Solid, stable, fast, did I mention fast?Dec 23, 2006 I bought this board to replace a blown board in my Gateway 840GM Media Center PC. Wow! This board is awesome! Gateway could not sell me an original factory board so I had to go out and do some research on my own. Well sort of on my own...Intel was a BIG help in finding me a great replacement. Turns out, this board was the board that Gateway used for my factory board but couldn't sell it to me. Well I'm glad Intel would.
I'm writing this review over 6 months after making my purchase and installing it. It has been stable and reliable. I love how fast it is and how it takes advantage of the latest technology and my dual processors.
I recently went to Intel's site to see if there were any driver updates and was plesantly surprised by how up to date the drivers are. The board actually comes with a utility to do this automatically but I chose not to install it since I like doing this kind of think on my own.
The onboard video has not been any issue even when doing high end video editing. There are slots for adding your own video card if you prefer.
I have added a ton of USB 2.0 and Firewire pieces of hardware and have not had any issues.
Did I mention how fast this board is with my Dual Core Pentium D 2.8 Ghz processor? I love this board.
