Ultra ULT40069 m998 ATX Mid-Tower PC CaseFeb 09, 2010 I have built many custom PC's and delt with lots of cheap and fairly expensive cases. I must say after purchasing one for myself, this is hands down a very good case. Plenty of room for what ever types of add ons you plan to install. Manual could of been written better, but once you figure out where everything is at, your good to go.
Excellent case, worth every penny. I would recommend this case for anyone building a custom PC and plan on adding extra video cards, etc.. Once you have this, your ELEET, and in the BUTTER ZONE!!!

Ultra M998Aug 02, 2009 Excellent case.
Put an Asus P6T Deluxe V2 motherboard in this case with I7 920 CPU and a
Cool Master V8 CPU cooler. Had plenty of room. But this case is
deeper than it states. From front to back it is 22".
With the stock intel cooler the cpu temps where in low 50's celcius.
Lots of room in the case for the system to breathe.

This extended-ATX box should rate six stars, but the "directions"suckFeb 20, 2009 Tiger Direct charges a lot for shipping this monster, I got it and a 600W PSU box from Ultra and they came promptly and well padded and boxed. I am very pleased with them and expect them to be servants in my home for many moons. The power supply will eventually fail but the m998-Case will be gutted and reused many times, barring catastrophe.
The manual is not very good (it is accurate but incomplete).

Here is Ultra's coup de grace regarding the m998,
the Ultra Power Bar power distribution system.
Intended to minimize cable clutter, increase airflow, and make cable management a non-issue.
For use of the Powerbar with a common multi-railed PSU you will have to attach two of the Molex power connectors (included with the m998 are the short Flex-Force cables to use if you have an Ultra modular PSU)
one to each port labeled CON9 and CON10
(the Ultra X3 1000 watt only needed one power lead to connect the PSU with the X3, since it uses a large single rail set up rated at 70amps).
After that it's a simple matter of connecting your components via the Powerbars four Molex connectors using the included short Flex-force cables. For newer video cards that require a six or eight pin power connector, Ultra provides short eight pin Flex-Force cables to connect to, and from the Powerbar. None of this information is provided in the manual, and the installer is left to fend for themselves.

Excellent!Dec 15, 2008 First time builder - I did a lot of online research and decided to go with this one because it would fit under my desk, a triple SLI setup and a larger motherboard with some room to spare. It's not overly tall but is long and wide. There is a tone of room and all was very easy to install.
I have added an 80mm exhaust and some pci slot fans to further cool my GPUs and everything is running below 50C under heavy loads and OCing.
I don't use the powerbar and don't care about it - seems redundant to me but if it works for you, great.
I love this case - looks great and is designed very well

Really Nice Mid-Tower CaseMay 11, 2008 This is an excellent ATX mid-tower case! It's a little bigger than other mid-tower cases but not bad. The extra room inside makes it easier to install your components. The overall construction is very good. Getting off the side panels was a little difficult - they should have added a D-ring on the back of each panel to help you pull it back. The power strip is a nice feature although the manual didn't provide enough information on how it works nor was Ultra tech support able to provide much information. The slide out MOBO tray made it easy to install my motherboard. Because of the extra length of the case, you might find yourself looking for extension cables. I had to purchase an extension cable for the front fan. The fan cable Ultra provided didn't quite reach where I had to plug it into my motherboard. Ultra should have made the fan cable longer. The fans on the case are very quiet and the air flow is pretty good. I also purchased the Ultra X3 600w mobile power supply (also very quiet) and if it wasn't for the bright blue power light on the front of the case you wouldn't even know it was turned on. I highly recommend this case to anyone who is looking for a well-built mid-tower PC case.
