Excellent replacement wired sensor barMay 11, 2010 Despite the confusing packaging, this is a regular wired sensor bar similar to what came with the Wii. I bought this as a "traveling" bar for when I want to take my Wii somewhere, as the original bar is taped to the top of my TV. I've tried it out and it works just fine. Good price, and it works -- what else do you need?
I think the mystery of the "wireless" label on the box is simply this: it's "wireless" in that it's the sensor for the wireless signal coming from your **game controller**. Somebody didn't think that one through very well. Heh.
Works as expectedMay 02, 2010 I'm ignoring the packaging issues described in another opinion.
For me the bar works as expected with the range of 3-4 meters (10+ feet)

Wii sensor bar, be ware the box is now what is inside!Mar 18, 2009 I rodered the wii infrared sensor bar, and was very shocked when I got the package from Amazon. The writeup of this and the picutre shows a sensor bar that is attached with a wire. I wanted one with a wire, I have a wireless one and it does not work well at all, so figured to go back in time and get a bar with a wire! however when I opened the package the box said compatable with the Wii wireless sensor bar, cables unlimited hardcore gaming series. WIRELESS! NO I don't want wireless, I did not order wireless! So I decide to open the box anyhow and guess what! Inside is not a wireless sensor bar, but the wire bar with the holder! STRANGE! I have tested it out and it works alright, but wow can we say really bad quality packing, why would you put a wire sensor bar in a box for wireless? Beyond odd. The good thing is that I gotr what I ordered and it works ok.
